David Kowalski has built winning teams across a broad spectrum of American industry. He’s been a publisher, editor and national sales manager in the publishing industry for the past 20 years.
Most recently, he developed two new titles and integrated three acquired titles into a new Crafts Division at Krause Publications, Iola, Wisconsin … the world’s largest hobby and collectibles publisher.
Prior to that, he took the Firearms/Knives Division at Krause Publications from $1.4 million in profit in 1994 to $2.8 million profit in 1998. During the four years he led the division, total revenues were more than $28 million with profits in excess of $9.5 million (33.5%).
He has also been the publisher of the magazine division at T.F.H. Publications, Neptune, New Jersey … the world’s largest pet book publisher.
For nearly ten years, he was a publisher and editor at Harcourt Brace Jovanovich / Edgell Communications / Advanstar Communications, Duluth, Minnesota … then the world’s largest trade magazine publisher.
In addition to his responsibilities with traditional magazine and book publishers, Kowalski has written and self-published four of his own books.
He has also owned an advertising and public relations agency, helping clients successfully position and profitably sell a broad range of products and services.
