Mac McGary is a leader, a visionary entrepreneur, and an outstanding sales person. He has been a consistent performer in launching new technology businesses. He has over 18 years of experience in sales, marketing, and business development for technology companies both in the US and in Europe. In 1998, Mac founded Pioneer Venture Services which has led the launch of eight start-up companies, six of which are still in business today. As a sales manager, Mac has over ten years experience managing teams of five to twenty five, with revenue goals from $7m to $45m. Mac has exceeded his sales quota nine out of twelve years; five years over 125%. In each case, Mac launched new products or re-packaged existing products for new markets.


Mac has held senior sales leadership positions in two companies that successfully completed their IPO: both i2 Technologies (supply chain management) and Information Management Associates (customer relationship management). In each of these firms, Mac’s outstanding sales ability, team leadership, market savvy, and alliance building were influential in the company’s pre-IPO success. Mac’s deals were landmarks.


In the last six years Mac developed a “Best Practices” approach to serve early stage companies where his strategic business planning skills were developed and tested as well as his business development skills. He served as a ‘go to market’ consultant with a results driven approach. Six out of eight of his clients have traveled from conceptual business plan to profitable growth in hyper competitive markets and remain in business years later.


Mac has worked both in Europe (six years) and in California (twelve years).
